Jannah Hotels and Resorts is now planning to open its Burj Al Sarab hotel in April, having previously insisted it would open the Abu Dhabi property by the end of the second quarter.
Located in the Mina area of the UAE capital, the hotel is owned by Al Rubaya Group and features 318 rooms and suites across 18 floors.
Its opening will mark the beginning of an expansion drive by Jannah, which is aiming to have 30 hotels in the next five years. It currently has five properties across Dubai and Abu Dhabi.
"We expect strong business and high occupancy rates at the hotel following the signing of a number of contracts with our partners in Europe and other countries to attract tourists and guests,” said Jannah VP operations Abu Dhabi Richard Haddad.
“Besides, Abu Dhabi is attracting a large number of visitors coming to attend conferences, exhibitions, sports, cultural and art events.”
The new hotel will feature 224 deluxe rooms, 66 junior suites, 22 executive suites four 3-bedroom penthouses, and two 2-bedroom penthouses.
It will also have several restaurants, offering food from around the world, as well as a health club with a pool, gym and spa.
Jannah Hotels and Resorts opened its first Dubai property - Jannah Place Dubai Marina Hotel - in September last year.
