Meliá Doha, which was recently inaugurated in the Qatari capital, has opened contemporary Indian restaurant Signature By Sanjeev Kapoor.
The avant-garde restaurant has a capacity of 60 people and an outdoor terrace, and will showcase “art on a plate”, with the aim of making food is synonymous with entertainment.
Dishes on the menu include tandoori wasabi lobster, succulent duck stewed and seared on tawa and blood orange and ginger kulfi.
The restaurant also offers innovative vegetarian meals, imcludng paneer and avocado chutney kebab served with spinach and mascarpone tikki.
The venue itself has been designed to create an intimate atmosphere with wooden finishes and white table cloths. Diners on the outdoor terrace an enjoy their meal against the backdrop of Doha’s West Bay.
Meanwhile, a degustation menu has been specially created by the executive chef and paired with the international wines and spirits.
Celebrity chef Sanjeev Kapoor, well known for his role as a judge on Masterchef India, already has a fast-growing portfolio of outlets bearing his name across the Middle East.
Among them are Signature and Options outlets in Abu Dhabi and Dubai.
