Four Seasons Hotel Amman has appointed regional vice president Vincent Hoogewijs as general manager of the 192-key property in Amman.

Hoogewijs has held several executive-level positions throughout his career in cities such as Bangkok, Tokyo, Mumbai, Mexico, Canberra, and Rabat.

In his new role as regional vice president and general manager, he will be responsible for overseeing the renovation of the Four Seasons Amman.

Commenting on his appointment, Hoogewijs said: “We want to evolve our brand in Amman and I’m excited to be leading the effort,” Hoogewijs stated.

“By introducing so many new and unique things to the experience, we are showing guests and the Jordanian community that we are committed to moving forward with the times.”

Speaking about his move to Jordan, he added: “I have no worries about relating to the community or the hotel staff, which is 98% Jordanian. I have learned over the years that it doesn’t matter where you are, everyone wants to be treated with respect.”

Originally from Belgium, Hoogewijs began his career in restaurants, but moved to hotel operations soon after.
