TravelClick, who offers cloud-based reservation and business intelligence services, has partnered with pricing and revenue management company Ideas to form a research and development partnership.
The partnership will allow TravelClick’s Demand 360 clients to integrate their data in Ideas’ revenue management system.
Demand 360 is a market intelligence tool which aims to give near real-time intelligence on the hospitality industry’s forward look reservation metrics and analytics, divided by market and segment.
Speaking about the partnership, Greg Sheppard, vice president, business intelligence products at TravelClick, said: “Hoteliers need to have the right tools that can offer them the best insight to help them drive revenue and increase their competitiveness in their local markets. Working with an industry leader and long-time partner, Ideas, provides hoteliers with the ability to use TravelClick’s business intelligence in new, actionable ways.”
The partnership aims to make the most robust business intelligence available so that hoteliers can use the data to make better business decisions.
With the combined technology, the partnership said in a statement, hoteliers will be able to improve forecasts and pricing recommendations
Sanjay Nagalia, chief operating officer at Ideas, said: “Demand360 is TravelClick’s most comprehensive market intelligence product, and being able to provide our customers with Ideas price optimisation and forecasting capabilities will immediately improve performance and provide hoteliers with better insights to make smarter business decisions.”
Both companies have stated that their strict confidentiality policies will be enforced throughout the partnership, with no individual competitive information revealed.
The research and development phase alpha test of the partnership will last up to 12 months and it is projected that the solution will be commercially available in early 2016.
