The hotel is the result of a partnership between CG Hospitality Holdings, who has a 50% stake in the property and Taj Hotels, Resorts and Palaces.
The property is the first of many planned hotels in the region, said CG Hospitality. The company said it aims to make the new JLT hotel one of the most recognised, luxurious and preferred destinations.
CG Hospitality is planning on taking on more hotels on a management basis in the Middle East and already has 88 properties in its hospitality portfolio.
Taj Hotels has been rated the third best global hotel brand by Conde Naste Traveller US, with 29 hotels currently under the brand in India and the surrounding region.
Taj Hotels and CG Hospitality have signed other similar deals for properties in Thailand, Sri Lanka and the Maldives.
