Real estate investment group SKAI has announced that they will upgrade their luxury upscale tower in Dubai’s Jumeirah Village Circle and rebrand it as Viceroy Dubai Jumeirah Village – a five-star property.
The tower, which originally cost US $348 million, will be the first five-star hotel in the Village.
SKAI also announced that Viceroy Hotel Group will be the luxe property’s operator. This is the second joint effort between the groups, the first being Viceroy Dubai Palm Jumeirah.
Kabir Mulchandani, group CEO of SKAI, said: "We are delighted to partner with Viceroy Hotel Group on our second project. The operator’s philosophy of creating lifestyle experiences with intuitive services complements SKAI’s values. The compelling architecture deserves an inspiring brand to bring our vision to life and Viceroy was the obvious choice."
SKAI also confirmed that the five-star upgrade won’t cost buyers any more, while adding significant value to stakeholders.
Bill Walshe, CEO of Viceroy Hotel Group said: "It is a great privilege to be collaborating with SKAI Holdings for a second project following our partnership for Viceroy Dubai Palm Jumeirah. Dubai's dynamic tourism market is continuing to thrive and this opening reaffirms our commitment to significantly growing our presence within the region. We look forward to working closely with SKAI Holdings to bring another exceptional and inspiring hotel to the city."
The new property will have 247 hotel rooms and suites, as well as 221 one- and two-bed apartments and 33 four-bed apartments with private pools.
The property will feature ‘breathable architecture’ and a vertical microclimate design containing over 500.000 square feet of flora. With green balcony-gardens and 271 sky-high swimming pools and floor-to-ceiling windows complete the open and airy design elements.
There will be five F&B options, including a lobby café, sports bar, all-day dining and a Chinese restaurant. Other amenities include a boutique spa, fitness centre with outdoor yoga terrace and gym.
