U.S. tech firm Sabre has released their travel app, TripCase for Apple Watch. The app’s purpose is to have all of your travel information in one place and in an easily navigable layout.

Using TripWatch, travellers can access the most relevant, time-sensitive trip information – including the ability to receive real-time flight alerts at a glance of their wrist.

VP of business development for Sabre Hospitality Tom Coulthurst told Hotelier: “TripCase is exactly the kind of app that you want if you’re the type of person to buy an Apple Watch: it’s got everything you need right on your wrist – and it’s so fast that delays and time changes will show on the app before they show on the airport’s board.”

With 69% of air travel suffering a change or delay, and 29% with gate changes, the app, also available on tablets and smartphones, could save travellers a lot of hassle.

In addition to real-time flight alerts, travellers can access flight and hotel details from the Apple Watch including flight status and gate number as well as hotel address, phone number and confirmation code. Users can also save restaurants, shops or activities they find along their journey into the app. Travellers can also access maps and directions for each activity in a trip as well as view the local time for any destination.

“TripCase is a perfect fit for the Apple Watch because of the time sensitive and glanceable information we provide,” said John Samuel, senior vice president of TripCase. “Millions of travelers rely on TripCase every day for real-time, accurate updates to their trips. Now with the Apple Watch, we can make travel even easier as travelers receive these messages on their wrist.”
