Ajman Palace Hotel appoints new executive chef

Swiss native Thomas Fischer joins the beachfront resort, adding his two decades of five-star hotel restaurant experience to the team.

After finishing apprenticeship at Thurgauerh of Hotel and Congress Centre, Switzerland, Chef Thomas worked with several five-star hotels in different parts of the country including the Beau Rivage Palace in Lausanne and Suvretta House in St. Moritz.

He then worked in London, Bermuda, Germany and Austria, before moving to Dubai to join the Burj Al Arab team in 1999, as well as a stint at the world-famous Dorchester in London. His education includes attending Cornell University Hotel & Management School and Master Chef Programme in Austria.

Ferghal Purcell, General Manager of The Ajman Palace Hotel, said: “[Fischer’s] extensive experience of working with various five star hotels in the Arab world as well as the European countries will help our culinary team better understand the preference of our guests who come from various parts of the world and to meet their expectations.”
