Gloria Hotels & Resorts signs first Makkah hotel

Gloria Hotels & Resorts area general manager Freddy Farid announced at Arabian Travel Market that the hotel operator has signed its first property in Makkah.

Farid told Hotelier Middle East: “Saudi Arabia is a huge market for us and a major feeder market into Dubai. We already have one hotel in Medina, and already under development with Riyadh and Jeddah.”

Farid said the opening for the 310-unit hotel was tentatively scheduled for Q1 2016.

He declined to share further information.
