EXCLUSIVE: Q&A with safety specialists MVP Tech

Hotelier catches up with Said Charles Kiwan, founder and director of MVP Tech, one of the official sponsors for this year’s Safety and Security Summit.

MVP Tech is a security and technology contracting company that was initially founded in Dubai and has now grown to have an international influence.

1. Why is it important you support the Hotelier Middle East: Safety & Security Summit?
Hospitality is an area we have developed a unique expertise in when it comes to safety and security. Apart from disseminating the benefits of security in such environments we have proven track records in improving the overall customer experience when visiting one of the properties we serve by using video surveillance as a tool for analytics used by marketing, HSE and operations.

2. What are the main topics and themes that you expect to be discussed and the event?
The challenges of working within an environment that mandates large expenditures in security and how to leverage these big investments to return the investment back to the hotel operators and owners.

3. What do you see as the future of the hotel security industry?
Automation, intelligence, big data readily available to improve security, processes, operations and impact the bottom line.

4. What are the latest product launches from your company?
Video analytics including heat mapping, crowd counting, behavioural analysis, cue management and POS integration tied into the video systems.



5. What other news can we expect from your company in 2015?
MVP will be reaching out to its more mature customer base that has rolled out state-of-the-art systems and started the process of adding more value with immediate returns in efficiencies and costs. Our company will also continue expanding in its five key markets adding on more security and IT specialists to staff, to support the growth of existing customers and new ones coming on board.

 

Kiwan has overseen the MVP Tech’s expansion regionally and internationally over the past 10 years.. His objective from the beginning was to bridge the technology gap between east and west, deploying systems that positively impact the day to day running of businesses.
