Four Points debuts in Russia

The Four Points by Sheraton has entered the Russian market, with its first property 174-key property located in Kaluga’s main industrial hub.

The property if owned is by Gostinichny Centre OJSC, and features a spa, fitness centre, free Wi-Fi, complimentary bottled water, and a selection of craft and imported beer as part of the signature Best Brews program.

On the F&B front, the hotel offers Mediterranean dishes with an Asian Twist at La Grillade Restaurant, spearheaded by Vladimir Rumiantsev. It also houses Show Kitchen for charcoal-grilled delights and The Hubble Bar for drinks in a relaxed environment.

Four Points by Sheraton Kaluga general manager Tony Toshev said: “The decision to open a hotel in Kaluga was quite natural for us. This is one of the most rapidly developing regions in Russia. The opening of the hotel under Four Points by Sheraton brand is an excellent addition to our portfolio, made under our global development strategy. We believe the brand has excellent prospects in terms of introduction of global hospitality industry standards in Russia. Immediately after its opening the hotel will be included in our global reservation system”.

Starwood currently has six hotels in Russia, including Four Points by Sheraton Kaluga, The St. Regis Moscow Nikoskalya, Sheraton Moscow Sheremetyevo Airport Hotel, Sheraton Palace Hotel Moscow, Hotel National, a Luxury Collection Hotel, Moscow, as well as W St. Petersburg.

The company will double its footprint in Russia over the next three years and will open an additional hotel in 2015.
