Ramada Downtown Dubai has appointed Walid El Masri as its new director of sales and sarketing.
In his role, El Masri will head the sales and marketing departments in developing and implementing strategies to increase hotel revenue and keep pace with competition in Dubai, especially in the Downtown area.
He is tasked to enhance ties with the hotel’s partners, generate business leads and identify new markets for the property.
In addition to his role as DOSM, El Masri will also oversee the GCC sales strategy for R Hotels, the property’s owning company.
An Egyptian national, El Masri has more than 15 years of experience in the hospitality sector.
Before joining Ramada Downtown Dubai, he served as cluster director of sales for the travel trade segment under Rotana Hotel Management.
He also formerly held sales positions in various hospitality groups and hotels including Accor, Ramee Group of Hotels and Resorts, Metropolitan Palace Hotel and Jumeirah Emirates Towers.
