DIVERSEY CARE

Diversey Care was established in 1997. The company recently launched Suma Café, a complete range of cleaning solutions for coffee machines from traditional espresso machines to vending machines. The Suma Café Grinder Clean cleans out coffee oil residue in the machines, preventing the coffee from becoming bitter.

Another launch, the TASKI Sani 4-in-1 is a complete washroom solution that combines cleaning, disinfection, descaling and deodorisation under one product.

Territory sales leader Doruk Selvi says: “Due to the recent increases in utilities, we see an opportunity to help our partners reduce their utility costs while they maintain the same efficacy benchmarks.”

To that end, the Diversey Care Clax Advance 60C laundry programme helps hoteliers and commercial laundries reduce their utility bills while increasing the life expectancy of the linen by 33%. The company’s Diversey Care Water Treatment team can reduce water consumption by up to 20% with its water treatment programmes and recycling processes.

The company believes the main challenge for the cleaning industry is the low level of productivity and a lack of effective cleaning consultation. Diversey Care’s Green Housekeeping Programme ensures that the staff are well trained and the cleaning procedures are in sync with the characteristics of the site.

The CSR arm of Diversey Care has initiated ‘Soap for Hope’ for the entire Middle East. Here, the used soap bars from hotels are recycled to manufacture new soap for disaster relief areas around the world.

This initiative has been accepted by more than 40 hotels in the UAE, KSA and Egypt. Currently, the company is working with its main disaster relief site Tacloban, Philippines to manufacture more soap, and it is researching aid opportunities in Nepal.

ALLIANCE LAUNDRY SYSTEMS

Alliance Laundry Systems recently launched its UniMac range of hard-mounted washer extractors, which have better wash performance than soft-mounted washing machines while reducing maintenance, utility and operational costs.

Built from strong stainless steel and designed for high volume and long hours, the machine is capable of achieving a 400 G-Force extraction that can remove the maximum amount of water in the least amount of time with an accelerated washing cycle.

John Bannister, director of international sales — Middle East and Africa explains: “The machines have several features that help to reduce water and energy consumption and the duration of every wash cycle. They feature fast-fill valves and drains to allow the clean water in, and the dirty water to escape in the shortest time possible.”

Additionally, the UniMac range includes a patented operational monitoring solution called UniLinc that allows users to set programmes for specific linen types. This increases the life expectancy of the linen and consumes an optimum amount of water, chemicals and energy, making it an extremely profitable choice for hotels.

DANUBE INTERNATIONAL

Danube International, a popular name in the laundry solutions industry, was established in 1947. The company’s latest line of products includes the flatwork dryer ironer with feeder, folders and stackers. Its best seller for the hospitality industry, however, has always been its big capacity high spin washers.

Ecological awareness is a matter of prime concern in the cleaning and laundry industry with machines having low utility consumption being preferred over the others.

Added to this, Danube has consistently delivered clean and contamination-free linen in a cost-effective manner.
Danube International’s large range of washer extractors have been designed to reduce water, utilities and detergent consumption.

Most of the machines require 11 litres of water per kilogram washed, and the washers are built to have high quality wash and very efficient extraction, with a G-Force of up to 440 on the ASEP and CS ranges. General manager Bernard Jomard asserts that Danube International is “more and more present in five-star hotels”.
