The Pearl Kempinski, as it’s locally known in Qatar, has welcomed two new members of its senior management team, with a new DOSM and a new director of human resources.
Director of Sales & Marketing Christian Huschka has been with Kempinski for more than a decade, most notably at the Hotel des Mille Collines (famous for its role in sheltering refugees during the Rwandan genocide, and famously featured in the film Hotel Rwanda). Huschka helped facilitate the successful takeover of the hotel.
He has also worked worldwide in hotels across Africa, Europe, USA and the Middle East, bringing over 18 years of experience to Marsa Malaz Kempinski.
Director of Human Resources Carlos Díaz has over ten years of hospitality and recruitment agency experience in brands such as Kempinski, Sheraton and Hilton, as well as independent properties.
He will bring his skills for creating bespoke teams for new hotels along with activating all aspects of HR practices and programmes. He joins the team from Grand Hotel Djibloho Kempinski in Equatorial Guinea.
Wissam Suleiman, General Manager, Marsa Malaz Kempinski, The Pearl – Doha, comments: “I am thrilled to welcome these two talented Directors. Their appointments and expertise will help us to continue our emphasis on delivering excellence, innovation and results for our guests and stakeholders, ultimately helping to secure the continued success of Marsa Malaz Kempinski over the coming years.”
Marsa Malaz Kempinski opened in January 2015 with 281 luxury rooms and suites, eleven F&B outlets, such as Toro Toro and Antica Pesa and the only Spa by Clarins in the Middle East.
