Langham Hospitality Group has announced the company’s second Dubai property and its first luxury city hotel in the Middle East.
Located in the Burj Khalifa district, the property will have 438 total units, with 167 keys dedicated for the hotel.
The US $273 million project is being developed in partnership with Omniyat, a Dubai-based privately-held real estate development group.

The Langham Place will feature a range of facilities including four F&B outlets, including an all-day dining restaurant, a rooftop bar and lounge, a specialty restaurant and a salon which will serve the brand’s signature afternoon tea.
The hotel’s spa, Chuan Body and Soul, will offer therapies based on traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) using the five elemental forces of wood, fire, earth, metal and water.
For the MICE crowd, the property has 400 square meters of event space for meetings and social events.
Langham’s Cordis brand is debuting in Hong Kong today and their Palm property has a projected opening date of Q4 2016.

Duncan Palmer, regional VP, Europe, Langham Hospitality Group, told Hotelier Middle East in an interview that in addition to the Langham family city property, “we’re also in negotiations for opportunities in Abu Dhabi and Doha. We have aspirations to position ourselves in the Middle East. We haven’t yet in Europe, but we want to tackle the Middle East first, as we think that’s more important at this particular juncture.”
