Lafayette Gourmet is returning with its Food Fest, which will span across three days and feature activities, tastings, workshops, and entertainment from September 17-19, 2015.
The event will focus on "real" food and organic produce while promoting Lafayette Gourmet‘s range of products.
Lafayette Gourmet culinary director Russell Impiazzi said: "I am very excited about this year’s Food Fest; we have had a lot of fun with the last three, and the fourth one will be even bigger. We have brought together a fantastic group of chefs, producers and foodie fans for a celebration of real food."
He continued: "Looking at where our produce comes from is really important for us and I hope we will give an insight to what we do at Galeries Lafayette. From the local organic produce and amazing cheeses, to the Heritage Beef Programme, having the opportunity to talk to the people behind this and taste the real products, gives the experience a sense of involvement and fun."
Impiazzi said: "One highlight that I am looking forward to is working with chef Philippe from the Chocolate Academy. We will be working on an exclusively produced range of chocolate truffles which will translate our vision of Dubai from the past, present and future… This is the idea behind Food Fest: interpret food, taste and talk about it, sharing experiences and ideas along the way."
Some of the participants include: founder and owner of Canada Beef, Robert Serapiglia; Chocolate Academy’s chef Phillipe Marand; supporter of the ethical farm-to-table concept, Six Senses Zighy Bay chef Richard Lee; founder of the first organic, raw, vegan restaurant in the UAE, chef Hayley Mac from Bestro.
A workshop will be hosted by food blogger Karen McLean, behind Secret Squirrel Food, who will teach guests how to take stunning images of their dishes.
Another confirmed food blogger is Noreen Wasti, from Noni’s Place blog, who will be hosting a workshop on how to master the art of table setting.
Following the tradition, this year’s Food Fest will be presenting its diverse cuisines via numerous food stations, with live music and entertainment including magicians, hang drummers, guitarists, stilt-walkers and jugglers.
Galeries Lafayette, in partnership with Air France KLM, will be the giving the chance to one lucky winner and a friend to win a culinary trip to Amsterdam, including a three night-stay in the 5-star Conservatorium Museumplein Hotel.
