UK burger restaurant chain Gourmet Burger Kitchen (GBK) has opened its first Abu Dhabi outlet at Abu Dhabi Mall, with franchising partner Food Quest.
Food Quest regional operations manager Louay Hamade said: "The UAE boasts a wealth of good restaurants and eating out has become part of the Emirate’s culture. We are very excited about bringing GBK to our discerning Abu Dhabi foodies.
"We are always looking to enhance our dinners experience by adapting to regional customer preferences. For example GBK in the Middle East offers table service which is not found in any other GBK around the world."
GBK currently has six restaurants in the Middle East (UAE, KSA and Oman) with plans to develop more around the region.
The new Abu Dhabi restaurant will have seating for up to 100 guests.
The brand was launched in 2001 in Battersea, South London by three New Zealanders, opening its first restaurant in Battersea, South London, and now has over 60 restaurants worldwide.
