Sofitel the Palm, Dubai has appointed Michael Chatzidakis as director of revenue, who brings with him 10 years' hospitality experience in Athens, London and Dubai.
A Greek native, Chatzidakis began his career in 2005 at Sofitel Athens as a front office associate.
He also worked for several years at Marriott hotels in London and Dubai, growing his career within front office and revenue departments. It was here he was awarded the Marriott Spirit to Serve and MENA Member of Revenue Management Team of the Year 2013 awards.
At Sofitel the Palm, Chatzidakis’ role will be to lead the revenue and reservations team, manage the inventory, provide monthly review forecasts and analyse data for the resort on his efforts to maximise revenue and market share growth.
Chatzidakis holds a Bachelor of Arts in Tourism Enterprises from TEI Athens, Greece and Masters in Hospitality Management from Swiss Hotel Management School. His passions include travelling, cooking and playing beach volleyball.
