F&B supplier Horeca Trade has signed on as a sponsor of the Hotelier Middle East Procurement Summit, which will take place on November 3, 2015.
A spokesperson for the company said: "One of the main factors of success in any business is knowledge; by supporting the Procurement Summit, Horeca Trade is unlocking a great opportunity to the latest happenings and trends in the food & beverage industry - receiving it directly from the key players of the UAE."
The main challenges facing the procurement industry, according to the company's spokesperson, is getting accurate consumption forecasts from customers – and customers adhering to the forecast given. Another challenge is availability of products due to increased demand and reduced supply within certain commodity categories.

Horeca Trade has recently added two new brands to its portfolio. One is Sohat, a Lebanese natural mineral water, which is the oldest brand in Lebanon re-launched in 1971.
The second is a dairy brand called Balade Farms, which is a family business that aspires to become the Middle East’s first choice for healthy, ultra-fresh dairy foods.
According to the spokesperson, the main topics that the company's representatives expect to be discussed at the Procurement Summit include consistency and quality of supplier-service levels, and relationship integrity from client to supplier and supplier to client.
The spokesperson added: "Being a leading partner to the foodservice channel, Horeca Trade has a lot of obligations to hotels, restaurants and cafes. We have to keep up with latest technologies and trends. And that’s what we have been doing over the past years and plan to continue for 2015-2016. Our partners will see a lot of exciting changes in our online ordering platform shop, horecatrade.com, and giant brands will be added to our portfolio. Most importantly customer service will be taken to the next level."
