Kempinski Ajman hires Italian chef for Sabella's

Nikhil Pereira, November 2nd, 2015

Kempinski Hotel Ajman has hired Andrea Giannini as the head chef of its organic Italian restaurant Sabella’s.

Originally from Chieti, a city in Southern Italy, Giannini brings more than 10 years of industry experience. He will lead the Italian kitchen team and build on the repositioned brand.

Giannini started his culinary career in Italy in 2003. Prior to joining Kempinski Hotel Ajman, he worked in several restaurants around the world, including in Germany, Ireland and Indonesia, holding the position as head chef for the past seven years.

“The demand for an authentic dining experience is more than ever. We hope to cook up an experience as true as possible, with an added focus on serving organic food,” said Giannini.

“We recently revived Sabella's to offer our guests a truly authentic Italian experience by changing the menu to 100% organic and locally produced ingredients.

"We are banking on Giannini’s experience to lead the way in our quest to offer a cuisine experience as Italian as possible. The revived restaurant also marks a shift away from fine dining to a casual and relaxed environment,” added Kai Schukowski, hotel manager, Kempinski Hotel Ajman (winner of Hotel Manager/EAM of the Year 2015 at the Hotelier Middle East Awards).
