The Sheraton Abu Dhabi Hotel & Resort will host its charity flea market on Saturday, December 5, in the Arzanah Ballroom in support of UNICEF.
Since 1995, Starwood has supported UNICEF projects in more than 40 countries across the world with $30 million of funds raised.
Money collected from the flea market exhibitors will support UNICEF’s Wash projects providing clean drinking water and sanitation facilities for children across Africa and the Middle East.
“Our charity flea markets have been running for a number of years with overwhelming success. It is a win-win for everyone involved – for the exhibitors, who can declutter their home while earning some money; for our visitors who can snap up some great bargains and most importantly for those disadvantaged children who benefit from UNICEF’s very worthy projects,” said Sheraton Abu Dhabi Hotel & Resort general manager Yves Tarabout.
The Sheraton flea market opens at 9am and ends at 2pm in the afternoon, with all funds collected from the table fees helping UNICEF’s work for children, while proceeds from the second-hand sales benefit the exhibitors.
Exhibitors are invited to sell second-hand items (such as clothing, books, DVDs, electronics, toys), while bargain hunters can stroll through the market to look for the best opportunities.
The charity bazaar is a quarterly event at Sheraton Abu Dhabi Hotel & Resort featuring 90-95 stands. Visitors can enter free of charge. Exhibitor tables are available for AED 285 (US $78) each.
