ALSA Food Restaurants & Management LLC has announced the opening of the first Mikado Bakery in Dubai, with traditional Japanese bakery chef Yoshio Nishiyama on board

The Dubai outlet is now open at Al Wasl Boxpark, offering authentic Japanese breads and pastries, and follows the launch of Mikado Café, which ALSA – part of the Al Sayegh Group – opened in Abu Dhabi earlier this year.

Mikado Bakery's extensive offering includes Japanese Tofu Salads, Shokupan sandwiches, Komeko balls, croissants, over 15 types of Japanese breads, and sweet treats such as Choco Korune, Matcha Mellon Pan and Ann Pann.

Other Japanese bakery products available include Custard Cream Bread, Green Tea Croissant, Biscuit Bread.

"Every baked item at Mikado Bakery draws on centuries of Japanese traditional baking that has been carried through legacy over many centuries,” Abdul Jabbar Al Sayegh, chairman of Al Sayegh Group, revealed.

“With the multicultural population in Dubai, which includes lovers of traditional Japanese cuisine, we thought it was a great synergy to bring a world-class Japanese bakery to the Emirate,” he added, and confirmed more outlets are planned for the coming months.
