Cipriani Dubai set for Q1 2016 opening

Sarah Jacotine, December 13th, 2015

Italian brand Cipriani will make its Dubai debut in DIFC in the first quarter of 2016.

The four-generation family hospitality business, which has operations in locations such as New York, Monte Carlo and Abu Dhabi, first announced its plans for Dubai in 2010.

Cipriani Dubai is the brand's second outlet in the Middle East and the menu will include Cipriani classics such as carpaccio alla Cipriani, baked tagliolini and vanilla meringue.

The venue, split over two levels, is designed by Florentine architect Michele Bonan, and features a chic blue and white nautical aesthetic, with floor-to-ceiling linen curtains, striped marble Venetian flooring and Murano chandelier.

Covering 1,100 sq ft, the outlet Cipriani Dubai will be able to accommodate 296 guests, including on the enclosed terrace.

The bar will be on the lower level, with white lacquer and chrome finished upholstered sofas and armchairs adorning the room. It will serve the signature Bellini invented at the original Harry's Bar in Venice, the venue Giuseppe Cipriani opened in 1931 that spawned the family business.

He commented: “I am extremely excited about this new project. I’m looking forward to bringing our tradition of service, warm atmosphere and classic Cipriani cuisine to this eclectic, vibrant and culturally diverse city."
