International food trucks will descend on Dubai in February 2016 when Eat the World DXB brings 15 of London’s most diverse food truck concepts to Burj Park.
The street food, music and entertainment event will feature a celebrity chef theatre, top local food trucks and restaurants, an artisan food market and an array of food experiences.
Eat the World DXB said it expects to attract a crowd of 20,000 people when it is help from 25-27 February.
“London’s food truck movement has been setting international trends for years and Eat the World DXB will bring some of the world’s most innovative culinary concepts to Dubai as well as showcasing the best of Dubai’s local home-grown street food movement”, commented Philip Lowery, Eat the World DXB’s festival director.
“With an eclectic array of cuisines from across the globe, Eat the World DXB will offer Dubai residents and tourists an authentic food truck experience - one unlike anything else currently in the market - right in the heart of the city,” he added.
Food truck traders already confirmed for the event include Fish Dogs by world-renowned London chef Mark Hix and British Street Food Awards Finalist 2015 Bangwok, which serves authentic Thai street food.
Other food truck highlights include Big Apple Hot Dogs, an US-inspired East London vendor and The Cheese Truck (pictured), which has received several accolades for its cheesy creations.
“The food truck movement is already a big part of the Dubai food scene and this event will officially cement Dubai’s status as one of the world’s most eclectic food capitals,” added Lowery.
