Z Lounge by Zengo has just opened at Doha’s Kempinski Residences & Suites.
The menu has been created by Mexican celebrity chef Richard Sandoval. It is the latest Asian-fusion concept by Sandoval under the ‘Zengo’ name, with locations already operating in Denver, Washington, D.C. and Dubai.
“Zengo translates to “give and take”, which I think sums up our concept, not only because of the union of Latin and Asian cuisines, but also the communal nature of the dining experience, which is designed around sharing plates,” commented chef Sandoval.
Located on the 61st floor, the new venue offers views of the city’s skyline. The restaurant and bar has a total capacity for 150 (100 seated, 50 standing). There is also a VIP room for private hire, which is located on the 62nd floor and overlooks the main bar.
Z Lounge by Zengo is now Richard Sandoval's third venue in Qatar. It follows the launch of Pampano on The Pearl in 2010 and Toro Toro at Marsa Malaz Kempinski in 2015.
Commenting on the launch, Kempinski Residences & Suites and Marsa Malaz Kempinski general manager Wissam Suleiman said: “We are thrilled to partner with Richard Sandoval Restaurants again, following the huge success of Toro Toro at Marsa Malaz Kempinski. Each of Richard’s restaurants deliver a distinctive experience, and with Z Lounge he has created a concept unlike anything else in Doha.”
