This week, The Westin Dubai Mina Seyahi Beach Resort & Marina added an unorthodox kind of tree to their Christmas display.
The Christmas tree, which is covered entirely with macarons has been created by a team of pastry chefs, headed up by Pascal Clair. Pascal was brought in by the hotel, specifically to help with this task.
The tree is made with a total of 12,000 macarons, all in festive colours of green, red and white.
Commenting on the display, which currently sits outside Blue Orange restaurant, the resort’s executive chef Jay Williams said, “We are all massively excited about the festive season and wanted to do something special this year.
“In conjunction with Pascal Clair we have been working non-stop to get this tree completed and we cannot wait for our guests to see the end result – especially our younger visitors who will absolutely love it!”
