Southern Sun Abu Dhabi’s newest F&B venue, ‘Blu Sky Lounge & Grill’ has opened in Abu Dhabi.

The sports lounge located in the Southern Sun Abu Dhabi hotel comes with its own dedicated VIP space and wall of fame as well.

‘Blu Sky Lounge & Grill’ is the sixth addition to Southern Sun Abu Dhabi’s line-up of popular dining venues and combines the capital’s love of sports, especially football, with food.

To mark the occasion, Southern Sun Abu Dhabi sought out young local talent - Freestyle Football Champion Zaid Issawi – and invited him to showcase his skills in the property’s spaces in a video celebrating the launch of Blu Sky, while also drawing attention to the emirate’s growing community of homegrown stars and personalities.

The lounge pays homage to English Premier League giants Manchester City, with several of the outlet’s walls adorning life size posters of its stars. Blu Sky sports 14 large screens ranging from 55” to 85” in size.

Known for his award-winning freestyle football performances and unremitted passion for the sport, 20-year-old Zaid Issawi was named the Jordan Freestyle Football Champion and Arab Freestyle Football Vice Champion in 2013 and has been shortlisted for the World Freestyle Football Championship scheduled to take place in Algeria in February 2016.

Zaid Issawi will perform at Southern Sun Abu Dhabi on January13  2016 at the private launch party of ‘Blu Sky Lounge & Grill’.
