The three Michelin star French chef has opened his latest GCC venture in Saudi Arabia.

The new Acacia by Pierre Gagnaire restaurant is located at Mövenpick Hotel Riyadh.

Tomorrow, chef Gagnaire arrives in Riyadh for the restaurant's official launch on Sunday January 24. Gagnaire will remain in Riyadh until January 26 to oversee operations at the new restaurant.

Commenting on the launch, Gagnaire said in a recent statement: “It will give me great pleasure to inaugurate Acacia by Pierre Gagnaire at Mövenpick Hotel Riyadh. Taking inspiration from the food in the city and spices of the region is something I look forward to, along with introducing my own French culture through the universal language of great cuisine.”

At Acacia by Pierre Gagnaire, the menu includes signature twists by the chef, such as duck foie gras and lemongrass macaroons.

Mövenpick Hotel Riyadh general manager Philippe Bonnot said: “The inauguration of Acacia by Pierre Gagnaire is a fantastic opportunity for Saudi residents and visitors to taste superb dishes at Mövenpick.

The restaurant is now Gagnaire’s 14th venue worldwide, and his second fine dining venture in the Gulf. Gagnaire also has a presence in Dubai, where he operates fine dining restaurant Reflets par Pierre Gagnaire, and also casual dining venue Choix Patisserie and Restaurant par Pierre Gagnaire.
