Emirates Palace adds to F&B and sales teams

Emirates Palace has hired three new team members across its food & beverage and sales & marketing departments.

Anna Olsson joins as the new director of sales and marketing, Stefan Trepp as the new executive chef and José Medronho as the new executive assistant manager for food and beverage.

Emirates Palace general manager Holger Schroth said: "I am honoured to welcome to a remarkable team, three executive-level managers. I am resolute that they will make significant and long-lasting contributions to Emirates Palace, given their proven track records in their respective fields."

Bringing 17 years of experience working in the Middle East, Asia and Europe, Olsson's remit will include building on strategic partnerships and promoting the hotel’s position as a MICE and leisure destination.

She brings to the team an influential network from over five years in Dubai and delivered on key financial and market positioning objectives in her last role as cluster director of sales and marketing with Ritz-Carlton, JW Marriott and The Majestic Hotel LHW in Kuala Lumpur, and with other luxury hotels including the Burj Al Arab and Rosewood Hotels & Resorts.

Executive chef Stefan Trepp's career spans more than 20 years in premier hotels and restaurants in his native Switzerland and around the world/

His accolades include the ‘Schweizer Star Im Ausland’ (Swiss Star Abroad) from Gault & Millau which he received in 2015.

He has previously worked with Mandarian Oriental and Banyan Tree Hotels & Resorts.

Medronho also brings 20 years of experience with opening hotels, and joins at a time when the hotel is planning to introduce new concepts and cuisines to maintain the novelty of the hotel’s restaurant offerings.

His past experience includes Starwood, IHG, Four Seasons, Marriott International and Ritz-Carlton.

The property currently has 14 outlets, a team of more than 100 chefs, and more than 200 in the F&B department.
