New Hampton by Hilton in Al Barsha to open in 2018

Nikhil Pereira, January 28th, 2016

Hilton Worldwide announced a management agreement with His Excellency Abdullah Al Neyadi to open the Hampton by Hilton Dubai Al Barsha, the third of its kind confirmed in Dubai.

The new mid-market hotel, expected to open in 2018, will be located in the Al Barsha district.

Rudi Jagersbacher, president of Middle East & Africa for Hilton Worldwide said: “Since we announced our first Hampton by Hilton for the Middle East last year, we have seen a surge of interest to develop the brand across the region. With sites now under construction in Saudi Arabia and the UAE – we see significant opportunity for investors to fill the mid-market gap with our world-class, value brand.”

On completion Hampton by Hilton Dubai Al Barsha will feature 154 guest rooms, with the brand’s signature style of service, with a breakfast area, living and working zones, juice bar, 24-hour fitness facility and swimming pool.

His Excellency Abdullah Al Neyadi, said, “We are delighted to have signed an agreement with Hilton Worldwide to open a Hampton by Hilton in Dubai’s Al Barsha. Once open, the hotel will offer guests a comfortable stay with the hallmarks of the award-winning brand.”

Also under development in the UAE is Hampton by Hilton Dubai Al Qusais, which is the largest Hampton by Hilton under construction in the world; as well as Hampton by Hilton Dubai Al Mina. This latest announcement demonstrates the strong development momentum for Hilton’s mid-market brands, joining the three Hilton Garden Inn hotels now trading in locations across Dubai and two in Saudi Arabia.

Phil Cordell, global head, focused service and Hampton by Hilton brand management for Hilton Worldwide, said: “Over the last 12 months Hampton by Hilton and Hilton Garden Inn have taken off in the Middle East, enabling travellers to begin experiencing Hilton’s mid-market offering when travelling to the UAE and KSA. In the coming years we will be open in more than 20 locations across the region, offering more options as we continue to see significant interest from travellers for value orientated accomodation.”

Across the Middle East, Hilton Worldwide is rapidly expanding its portfolio of mid-market, upscale and luxury properties within its distinct portfolio of brands.

Approximately 70% of the company’s Middle East pipeline is under construction.

In 2015, notable milestones included the signing of a Hilton Hotels & Resorts property at Dubai South’s Al Maktoum International Airport, as well as confirmation of the first Curio - A Collection by Hilton for Dubai with The Rosemont Hotel & Residences.
