Indie will open in February at DIFC. Indie will open in February at DIFC.

A new nightlife concept - Indie - is set to launch in the emirate’s financial hub this February.

Indie is billed as a kitchen and lounge and will be located in DIFC featuring several cocktails and food and beverage options.

“We don’t like to put people and nightlife in neat little boxes,” AddMind CEO Tony Habre commented. “We merely recognise a need in the market and aim to fill the gap. Indie will serve good quality food and drinks, non-mainstream music, in a comfy and an unfussy place where you can just hang out.”

The décor blends several eras together with a vintage feel to it, with souvenirs and crafted furniture.

Indie will showcase a range of live acts and performers across different genres with DJs, bands and singers.

The venue has three different bars: a sake bar, cocktail bar and fresh fruit bar.

“We had much success with Indie in Beirut and we’re excited to bring this concept to one of our favourite cities,” added Habre.

DIFC, in recent times, has emerged as a choice for several operators to set up shop with the likes of Zuma, Mint Leaf of London and Gaucho emerging as prominent nightlife venues in the area.
