First restaurant reopens after NYE fire in Dubai

Sarah Jacotine, February 3rd, 2016

Em Sherif in the Address Downtown Dubai will be the first restaurant to re-open a month after a fire enveloped the hotel on New Year’s Eve due to an electrical short circuit.

The Lebanese restaurant is located on the hotel’s lower lobby level, which was untouched by the fire, and will welcome guests from the evening of February 4.

There is no valet parking available yet, so Em Sherif has advised customers to park at nearby Souk Al Bahar or The Dubai Mall.

Other dining outlets in the hotel, including Neos, Cut by Wolfgang Puck, Calabar, and Zeta, remain closed.

Emaar Properties manages the hotel and has publicly said it will reconstruct the hotel in record timing.
