Qatar Tourism Authority and Qatar Airways collaborate to hold the seventh annual Qatar International Food Festival (QIFF).
The event will be held from March 22-28 2016. Last year’s event attracted 170,000 visitors over a five day period, while this year the event has been extended to ten days.
This year, there will be a focus on Chinese food, as part of the Qatar-China 2016 Year of Culture celebrations. The event is expected to attract celebrity chefs from Doha and abroad, taking part in events such as the Qatar Airways Dinner in the Sky and Cooking Theatre.
Qatar Tourism Authority (QTA) chief marketing and promotion officer Rashed Al Qurese said: “The Qatar International Food Festival is an important part of QTA’s strategy to grow and diversify the country’s tourism offering in partnership with the private sector.
“QIFF showcases our country-wide 5-star culinary and hospitality offerings, giving visitors a taste of the country’s most authentic experiences. We look forward to welcoming residents and visitors alike to the seventh edition of QIFF.”
