UAE F&B market valued at close to $12bn

The value of the UAE food and beverage sector in 2015 has been valued at US $11.7 billion (AED 42.9 Billion) by a KPMG Food and Beverage Survey.

The report, which used data from market research firm Euromonitor International, also predicted that the UAE F&B sector will grow to $13.2 billion (AED 48.5 billion) by 2018, at an annual growth rate of nearly 4%.

The market’s growth between 2013 and 2014 was approximately 5%, driven primarily by an increase in the number of transactions, according to KPMG, which added that outlet growth has partly been fuelled by the continued investment in retail destinations.
