Park Inn Muscat recognised its employees’ efforts and service to the company and held the ‘employee of the year award’ for its staff. Hiba Al Syyad, a Jordanian national, walked away with the honours.
A statement from the hotel said this initiative is a way to express gratitude towards the hotel’s employees. Al Syyad works in the front office department and began working with the hotel in 2013 as a senior receptionist. Her efforts earned her a promotion to service manager in 2015.
Park Inn Duqm cluster general manager Rabih Zein said the criteria for nomination was based on a few parameters such as: demonstrating a YIC (Yes I Can!) attitude, working as a team player, taking responsibility, showing enthusiasm, dedication to superior customer service and satisfaction and helping create profits for the hotel.
"Hiba Al Syyad’s name can be seen in many hotel review websites, as guests often mention her level of service towards them. She was nominated by members of the management team who recognised her contribution to the Hotel. Al Syyad was ultimately chosen because she ticked all the requisite qualities. She is now a role model for all our employees who aspire to win the award," said Zein.
