New director of kitchen at Radisson Blu Cairo

Radisson Blu Hotel, Cairo Heliopolis has appointed chef Essam Sayed as the new director of kitchen.

Sayed has over 20 years of experience working in professional kitchens. The Egyptian hotel’s new director of kitchen has won several gold medals in competitions around the world, representing Egypt.

Sayed was selected by the Egyptian Chefs Association as captain of the Egyptian Olympic team, where his team won trophies at the Luxembourg World Cup and the German Olympics.

In his new role, Sayed will aim to work with farmers in the region to source local and organic produce.

In a recent statement, the hotel stated that another passion Sayed will bring to his new role, is helping “younger chefs grown and develop, allowing them to discover their own talents and encouraging them to define themselves”.
