Al Manshar Rotana Kuwait hires new executive chef

Al Manshar Rotana has appointed Hassam Salameh as the executive chef for its Kuwait-based property.

In his new role, Salameh will be responsible for the back-of-house operations, food production and all other related sections. He will also oversee all the food outlets of the hotel such as Failaka all day dining, Library Lounge, Bay View, room service as well as private dining and the hotel’s catering operations.

Salameh is a Lebanese national and holds a hospitality technical degree in culinary. He has been in the industry for 16 years having worked in various five-star hotel brands in Lebanon and Iraq.

He started his career in 1999 as a chef de partie in Riviera Hotel in Lebanon and worked across several hotels there till 2004. During this time, he earned himself promotions to executive sous chef and executive chef.

In September 2004, he joined Tamar Rotana in Lebanon as executive sous chef and got promoted as executive chef in 2009. In 2013, he was transferred to Karbala Rayhaan by Rotana in Iraq and then moved back to Lebanon at the Raouchee Arjaan by Rotana in 2014.

“This new appointment brings additional strength to our team. I am confident that Salameh will definitely contribute to the success of our property,” said Imad Zaboura, general manager of the hotel.
