Kold Draft launched its SC200 series in the Middle East at Gulfood, which is its first iteration as an under-counter ice machine.
Greenfield World Trade VP Jonathan Vadnos told Caterer Middle East: "Kold Draft has been producing ice machines for over 80 years in the United States and we’re one of the first companies to develop a horizontal evaporator."
This means, he said, the ice cube is "the largest ice cube possible and the slowest melting possible".
Consultants, he revealed, placed the machine across many hotels and resorts. Vadnos said: "The one thing we didn’t have until this year was an under counter-machine - the consultants wanted this in the bar.
"Now in 2016 Kold Draft has developed the under-counter, upside down horizontal evaporator machine. Specifiers want this product, and Kold Draft answered the call."

The machine is targeted at sports physiotherapists, high-end resorts and high-end clubs.
"We believe that consultants will be excited about finally being able to specify Kold Draft for the bar area," concluded Vadnos.
