Katara Hospitality opens new Qatar Simaisma Resort

The new Simaisma Resort is now open on Qatar’s Simaisma coastline, north of the capital, Doha.

The resort opened in soft-launch phase on February 1, according to a report by Doha News.

The new alcohol-free property is operated by Murwab Hotel Group, a new arm of Katara Hospitality.

The resort is villa-only, with one, two and four bedroom villa options available for reservation. Three bedroom villas will also open for reservation later in the year.

Each villa has facilities for kitchen, living room and dining area. Four bedroom villas have access to a private pool.

F&B facilities at the resort include Mokha coffee shop and the pool-side restaurant Infinity. An all day dining buffet restaurant called Awtar is expected to open in late March.

Additional facilities at the resort include swimming pool, children’s pool, gym, spa, health club, basketball court and tennis courts.
