Jumeira Rotana in Dubai has appointed Ulrich Hoffmeister as its general manager.
In his new capacity, Hoffmeister will oversee the hotel’s operations including 114 rooms, two F&B outlets, recreation facility, and the ongoing major renovation of the entire hotel that will see the addition of new suite rooms.
Hoffmeister, a native German with more than 20 years of hospitality experience started his career in 1993. Prior to his appointment, he worked with a number of operators including, Hilton, Rosewood, Sheraton and InterContinental Hotels.
After his apprenticeship in the hotel and catering business and his subsequent certification in Germany, Hoffmeister started his first position in the stewarding department.
He took over his first managerial role with Al Bustan Palace InterContinental in the capacity of duty manager.
He then moved to Phoenecia InterContinental Hotel in Beirut as guest relations manager as well as executive assistant manager with the opening of Rosewood Corniche Hotel in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.
Hoffmeister joined Rotana coming from Hilton Worldwide, where he headed Double Tree by Hilton Oredea.
In addition to his hotel responsibilities, Hoffmeister is engaged in community works and relations and is delighted to work again in the Middle East.
