St Regis Abu Dhabi has appointed a new executive assistant manager food and beverage, as well as a new director of sales.
Dimitrios Kotsifakos takes on the role as executive assistant manager food and beverage at the hotel, while Emil Nilsson joins as director of sales.
Kotsifakos brings 12 years of F&B experience to the role. He has previously worked with Fairmont Le Montreux Palace in Switzerland, Hilton London Metropole and Ios Palace Hotel & Spa in Greece.
Originally from Greece, Kotsifakos joined Starwood in 2010 as complex assistant director of food and beverage at Costa Navarino in Greece.
Kotsifakos moved to the Middle East in 2011 to work for the Grand Hyatt Dubai as assistant director of F&B. He later worked as director of F&B at the The Westin Abu Dhabi, and at the Sheraton Grand Doha.
Kotsifakos holds a diploma in hotel management from Le Monde School in Greece and a Bachelor of International Hotel Management from S.H.M.S University in Switzerland.

Emil Nilsson is the new director of sales for the St Regis Abu Dhabi. Originally from Sweden, Nilsson has 12 years of hospitality experience, nine of which from within the Middle East.
Nilsson previously worked at Dusit Thani Maldives as head of sales and marketing, and at the W Retreat & Spa – Maldives and Sheraton Maldives Full Moon Resort & Spa as complex director of sales and marketing.
At The Westin Dubai and Le Meridien Mina Seyahi Beach Resort & Spa Nilsson worked as complex senior sales manager, and was later promoted to the position of complex assistant director of sales.
Nilsson holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Hospitality and Tourism Management) from The University of New England – Blue Mountains International Hotel Management School. He also has a Bachelor of Science in Business and Economics (Business Administration) from the University of Örebro.
