Bin Haider Hospitality, a subsidiary of Mohammad Omar Bin Haider Holding Group (MOBH), has rebranded its Sheraton Deira as Grand Excelsior Hotel and taken over management of the property from Starwood Hotels.

This property is the fourth hotel to be internally branded as a Grand Excelsior. The other hotels are in Bur Dubai, Al Barsha and Sharjah.

Bin Haider plans to increase the brand portfolio and expand with more hotel projects across UAE, Middle East and Europe.

Bin Haider hospitality consists of three sub-categories – owning and managing hotels under the Grand Excelsior brand, the other category owns its own properties with third-party management; and lastly the group manages hotel apartments under the Deebaj brand.

The hotel has 229 guest rooms including 35 suites. It also features a selection of restaurants; The Terrace is an atrium-styled outlet and serves international cuisine for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The hotel also has Le Café, The Lindbergh’s - a sports bar, and AI Masah Ballroom which can accommodate up to 500 guests.

The executive management team will continue to stay in place, under a new general manager Safwan El Khayat. He has spent more than three decades in the Middle East’s hospitality market having worked with different international hotel chains.
