Oman’s Six Senses Zighy Bay has appointed Rosalin Lau as the resort’s new director of spa and wellness.
Lau has in excess of twenty years experience in spas, fitness, wellness and hospitality.
The management hope to use Lau’s expertise to continue positioning Zighy Bay as the region’s premier destination for a wellness retreat.
Born in Singapore, Lau began her career in hospitality at Raffles Hotel in her home country and subsequently held mid-management positions with both Conrad and Meritus Mandarin there.
Her significant spa and wellness expertise was gained by travelling and working in countries such as China and New Zealand as well as in establishments such as the Burj Al Arab in Dubai and in the spa corporate office at the Banyan Tree Spa in Phuket, Thailand and Banyan Tree in Kuwait.
She has also served as the spa manager of the Ritz-Carlton, DIFC in Dubai and was appointed as champion of spa discipline, a regional role for Ritz-Carlton and Marriott Spas in the MENA region.
After graduating with a masters of science in international management from the University of Liverpool, she qualified in body therapies and is a certified yoga instructor.
Prior to joining Six Senses Zighy Bay, Lau was part of the pre-opening team for Shine Spa, Sheraton Grand Dubai, UAE.
