Marriott Executive Apartments Dubai Creek has appointed Brian Nourollahi as its general manager.

Nourollahi joins from the Marriott Executive Apartments Addis Ababa, the first Marriott property in the capital of Ethiopia where he held the position of general manager since the pre-opening in February 2015.

Nourollahi has a longstanding history of working with Marriott and has successfully managed hotels across the Middle East and Africa after moving to the region from the United States.

He has held positions in the rooms and food and beverage departments, begining his career with Marriott International in 1988 as beverage manager at the Atlanta Marriott Perimeter Center in Atlanta, Georgia. Here, he also moved on to further roles including restaurant manager and banquet manager.

In 1998 he was appointed as the director of restaurants at the Kauai Marriott Resort & Beach Club in Hawaii. Four years later, he returned to Atlanta, as director of restaurants for Atlanta Airport Marriott, before returning to Hawaii as director of restaurants for the Waikoloa Beach Marriott Resort & Spa in 2004.

In 2007, he was appointed director of F&B at the Jordan Valley Marriott Resort & Spa where he was promoted to resident manager in 2009.

In 2011, Nourollahi earned his first stint as general manager at the Marriott Taba Heights Resort on the shores of the Red Sea in Egypt. This was followed by the GM’s position at the Petra Marriott Hotel in Jordan from 2014 to 2015.

Nourollahi said: “I'm thrilled to be in Dubai to take on a new challenge with Marriott Executive Apartments Dubai Creek. I am looking forward to continuing this iconic hotel's success”.
