Dusit Hotels reintroduces Princess brand to Dubai

Nikhil Pereira, June 8th, 2016

Dusit Hotels and Resorts will introduce a DusitPrincess property in Dubai, with the announcement coming ahead of the hotel's ground breaking.

However, this is not the first time the brand will be looking to establish its base in Dubai. Previously, Dusit operated its only Princess property outside Thailand in Dubai's Deira district.

A UK-based firm then overtook the property in 2011, and rebranded the property as Suha City Hotel

The property subsequently changed hands, and name, once again - this time to Raintree Hotel Dubai.

Now, the Thai hotelier has signed a technical design agreement with ACES Property Development to bring the new hotel apartment project under the DusitPrincess brand, marking its debut not just in the UAE but across the wider GCC as well.

The agreement was formalised at a signing ceremony held at Dusit Thani Bangkok which was presided over by executives from both companies, including Dusit’s Group chief executive officer Suphajee Suthumpun and founding director of ACES, Kashif Shahzad.

The DusitPrincess ACES Dubai will be located in the Jumeirah Village Circle, close to the new Al Makhtoum International Airport.

Full details will be released at the project’s ground breaking ceremony, which will be held soon.
