ChefXchange highlights its iftar 'chefs for hire'

Sarah Jacotine, June 11th, 2016

Online marketplace ChefXchange is connecting private chefs in the UAE with people who want to have their iftar catered in their homes or at any chosen venue.

The company has a datatebase of more than 50 chefs for hire, available throughout Ramadan.

Clients choose a chef based on their own cuisine preference and location, as well as the chef's personal profile listed on the company website.

After contacting the chef via ChefXchange's messaging system and agreeing on a menu, online payment is processed, prior to the event.

Besides planning the menu and cooking, using the service means that the client does not need to buy the ingredients or clean up after the meal.

ChefXchange co-founder Karl Naim told UAE-based weekly tabloid newspaper XPRESS that unlike traditional catering, “the foodie chooses a chef based on his specialty, experience and reviews".
