Four Points by Sheraton Downtown Dubai has hosted an iftar for non-profit organisation, Special Needs Future Development Center.
Fifty children, together with their families, gathered at The Eatery in the hotel for the celebration.
Four Points by Sheraton Downtown Dubai executive assistant manager Gregor Kiefer said: “We are delighted to seize such an opportunity to bring a smile on the face of every child who is in need of attention and care.
"We constantly support such causes and sponsor such initiatives to make a difference in their lives."
As part of its ongoing Ramadan activities, Four Points by Sheraton Sheikh Zayed Road and Four Points by Sheraton Downtown Dubai will next week host its annual 'Iftar for Cabs'.
On June 21, packs of food and drink will be distributed at the main entrance of the two hotels to taxi drivers and construction workers.
Four Points by Sheraton Sheikh Zayed Road and Four Points by Sheraton Downtown Dubai complex general manager Shujaat Yar commented: “Iftar for Cabs represents the spirit of Ramadan and we are extremely proud of our hotel teams who come together for this initiative every year and go the extra step to give back to the community.
"This initiative is our way of appreciating the cab drivers as well as the construction workers.”
Conceptualised by Starwood Hotels & Resorts, the initiative last year delivered over 3,000 iftar packs to cab drivers and construction works across the region, and has been running since 2010.
