Dubai Marriott Harbour Hotel & Suites has appointed a new executive chef, Chadi Terro, who is originally from Barja, Lebanon.
He joins the Marriott brand with over 17 years’ experience, from pre-opening hotels to large-scale events across the region.
Terro began his career with Le Meridien Beirut, followed by InterContinental Phoenicia Beirut, and then joined InterContinental Doha as sous chef for its seafood restaurant, The Fish Market.
After a stint in Doha, Terro moved to the UAE joining the Shangri-La Hotel Abu Dhabi as chef de cuisine where he remained for almost four years.
He then progressed to Beach Rotana Hotel & Towers in Abu Dhabi as executive sous chef /acting executive chef for five years where he overlooked the operation of more than eleven restaurants and one of the largest banqueting facilities in the region.
During his tenure there, he catered to the royal family of Abu Dhabi, and represented Abu Dhabi Tourism Authority and Etihad Airways at a regional tourism event in Johannesburg, South Africa.
In his new role, Terro will lead the teams of The Observatory and Counter Culture Café, as well as look after the overall culinary operations of the hotel, which is located in Dubai Marina.
