Atlantis The Palm’s waterpark has earned recognition through TripAdvisor, which has seen it ranked as the best waterpark in Dubai and the Middle East, and also as the third best waterpark in the world.
The rankings are part of TripAdvisor’s eight annual Travellers’ Choice Awards, which is based on reviews and opinions left on the travel website by travellers.
According to TripAdvisor, the best waterpark in the world is Siam Park in Adeje, Spain. In second place in the global ranking was Waterbom Bali in Indonesia.
This year, Aquaventure climbed two places in TripAdvisor’s global ranking of waterparks, in comparison to 2015, beating Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon Waterpark in Florida in fourth place and Beach Park in Brazil in fifth place.
In sixth place on the global list was a second Dubai waterpark, Jumeirah’s Wild Wadi Waterpark.
According to Atlantis The Palm, celebrity visitors at Aquaventure have included Lily Allen, Paris Hilton, Rita Ora, Mark Wright, Mischa Barton, Colleen Rooney and Vin Diesel.
