Marriott Content Studio and JW Marriott Hotels & Resorts have begun production on the third instalment of the franchise short film, Two Bellmen.
The original short film that follows the unusually eventful lives of two bellmen working at a JW Marriott property will be the last instalment in the award-winning Two Bellmen franchise launched last year.
Hotelier had previously reported that Marriott were considering a full length feature film as well.
The franchise shifts to Seoul, South Korea and the JW Marriott Dongdaemun Square, with actors and stuntmen William Spencer and Caine Sinclaire reprising their roles as heroic bellmen Gage and Christian.
The premise of the short film has been revealed in which the two bellmen are in Seoul as competitors in the “Global Bellmen Games,” a celebration of the talents of bellmen featuring obstacle course challenges, talent show aspects and skill-based games.
Joining the series are Ki Hong Lee of The Maze Runner and American singer, actor and entrepreneur Jessica Jung, who play a couple getting married at the hotel at the same time as the games.
Like the two previous films in the franchise set in Los Angeles and Dubai respectively, Two Bellmen Three takes place in and around one of JW Marriott’s properties and features the Korean culture of Seoul.
Additional actors and inspiration for the film will be drawn from the world of K-Pop and Korea’s acting, singing and online communities.
Global creative and content marketing for Marriott International David Beebe said: “As one of the first brands to commit to a short-form branded film series, we’re excited to begin production on our third Two Bellmen.”
He added: “Partnering with Substance Over Hype storytellers, we have produced content people want to watch with more than 12 million views for the first two instalments.”
